Innolux presents the 1411 ppi true RGB ultra high resolution LCD technology for VR display, of which the resolution is higher than current OLED panel. The 1411 ppi LCD panel provides high quality image without screen-door effect, helping users to be immersed into the virtual world. The sub-pixel size is 6 um, which is about one twentieth of the width of human hair. In order to produce such a high pixel density of LCD panel, we need to improve the mask design, special material, and combine the fine process of the thin-film transistor and color filter. Innolux’s 1411 ppi high resolution LCD panel technology not only achieves the perfect image performance and highly improves the comfort of usage, but also leads the VR display industry to another milestone on the next generation.
