Innolux values harmony between labor and management. In addition to the quarterly labor-management meeting and employee welfare committee meeting, the Company has also set up a variety of smooth communication channels. Local and foreign employees can express their opinions, either named or anonymously, about human rights, labor-management, and sexual harassment issues through the Employee Care Hotline or Employee Care Mailbox or during the direct labor seminar. The Company protects the rights and interests of its employees by helping them to solve problems with regard to personal rights & interests or unfair treatment.
 
Moreover, in accordance with related laws and regulations and the RBA Code of Conduct, Innolux allows employees to organize unions. As of 2018, no worker unions were organized at Taiwan sites. At Ningbo, Foshan and Shanghai Sites, unions were organized and communication with management has been conducted through seminars, departmental meetings, and suggestion boxes.

Employee Communication
To protect the rights and interests of employees and to help employees solve problems concerning personal rights & interests or unfair treatment, Innolux provides complaint channels such as the Employee Care Hotline and Employee Care Mailbox for employees to express their opinions about human rights, labor-management and sexual harassment issues. There is a designated unit at each site to process complaints and opinions presented through such appeal channels and also to supervise concerned units to handle and devise improvement measures within a given period.
 
Eight cases of sexual harassment occurred in 2018 and they were all appropriately resolved. There were also 507 cases involving human rights issues and 379 cases associated with labor conditions. They were also properly handled. The case closure rate was 100%.

Diversified Promotion Channels for DNA Reinforcement
Innolux values its employees and has set up open and efficient communication platforms. In addition to the electronic Innolux News, startup screen messages, “i-Media” channel, WingHR app and INXpire app, Innolux also created the i-News Real-time News Platform and iFB wall in 2018 to promote company policies and announce information. The former is designed to provide information about the latest developments in the industry. This provides reference and context for decisions pertaining to company management techniques and strategies; the iFB wall was adopted to announce important company information and issues. Moreover, the Company also released the “Intelligent Promotion Meeting and Teaching” program to enhance Innolux’s promotion of smart factories and intelligent office systems. Weekly intelligent promotion meetings are held to exchange ideas and make Industry 4.0 part of the Company’s DNA.
